shades of red, orange, yellow, and gold. 0nce established, Gaillardia needs very little maintenance and will withstand heat and dry conditions. Pollinators love it, including bees and butterflies. Planting Instructions: Direct sow Gaillardia seeds in spring by lightly pressing the seeds into the soil, covering them with a thin layer of soil or simply leaving them exposed, as they require light to germinate. Keep moist until germinated. Thin to 8-12" apart. Seed Saving Instructions: Allow flowers to go to seed. Collect Gaillardia seed when flowerheads are fully dry. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.
