Why Addis Ababa?: We chose Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as a nod to one of the oldest civilizations on the planet, the birthplace of mankind, a land full of rich history, kingdoms, queendoms, and might. Addis Ababa is a tough city. It’s thousands of feet above sea level, making you catch your breath with just a few steps. But it’s also accepting and joyful in a way that you’d expect from the land of milk and honey. Frankincense and Myrrh (and coffee!) is in the air, in churches, and on random streets. When narrowing down the list of cities that inspired our Diaspora collection, Addis was an obvious choice. We hope you love this gentle, healing scent as much as we do.
