These giant sunflower heirlooms are so easy and impressive to grow. Kids (and the young at heart) love playing in a forest of them. Planting Instructions: Plant Mammoth Grey Stripe Sunflower seeds directly in the ground 6-12" apart after last frost. Do not overwater. Seed Saving Instructions: First flowers will dry and start drooping (see 3rd & 4th photos). Then seeds will start to dry out. Cut whole flower heads and remove seeds so they can fully dry. We like to use a rubber glove to dislodge the seeds from the flowerhead. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location. Approx 25 Mammoth Grey Stripe Sunflower seeds per packet
