treasured handmade ornaments. It’s hard to imagine a Christmas without peppermint candy. In fact, you’d have to go back some 350 years to find one void of the hard candy treats. As with many traditions, it took centuries for the holiday staple to evolve into the green-and-white striped, peppermints we know today. Is there anything more iconic during this time of the year than these boldly striped candies? Of course, peppermint candy can be enjoyed any time of the year, but they remain a holiday staple. The striking striped pattern and bold colorful design of our Enchanted Wintergreen Candy ornaments are perfect for holiday tablescaping, and add a festive accent to any Christmas decor. Each swirling striped Glass Ornament is a brilliant mix of green and white colored glass expertly shaped into a candy lozenge and tipped with twisted wrapper ends of sparkling dichroic glass. Dichroic glass is a very special glass, highly prized, expensive, and difficult to work with it adds a layer of brilliance and sparkle that glitters like diamonds in the glass. A loop is added at one end to hang. The Peppermint Candy glass ornaments are handmade working at a 2000-degree furnace at our Pontiac studio. Approximately: 4” L x 1”W x 2′.25”D
