Once established, it is highly drought-tolerant and aromatic. This woody sage can reach impressive sizes in the wild, forming a rounded shrub with upright stems bearing pale lavender to white flowers. Its resinous leaves are intensely fragrant, especially in the heat of the day. White Sage prefers hot, dry summers and mild winters, and may go dormant in extreme drought. Avoid overhead watering and do not overwater after seedlings are established. Height: 3–5 feet. Optimum Soil Temperature for Germination: 65°F–75°F Blooming Period: May–July.
