The grain is used for food for humans; the plant is used for animal feed and ethanol production. Sorghum originated in Africa, and is now cultivated widely in tropical and subtropical regions. This variety was gathered in the Kenyan highlands and is highly uniform 6-8’ tall plants with ivory white, densely packed seed heads with about 3000 seeds per head. Impressive yields.
